ESPN is on and Jon is announcing!

Current state of the ring :joy:

He does not appear to have done an event since Kentucky last year. I would hope enjoying a very well deserved retirement! And maybe terrorizing Lauren’s young horses

well, I am sure they can vamp a bit!

If you click on “on air” on CMH you can get in to the livestream.

Regarding Calvin-I saw an (unrelated) video of a woman yesterday talking about another rider who died around 2006 at an event. Her horse had fallen hard on his face previous to the show and they were evaluating him for a concussion afterwards, and giving him time off. Long story short, the trainer brought the girl to a show they were planning on anyways, horse crashed, rider died.

Point of this being, I saw the video last night and thought-Phantom of the Opera may not have appeared to hit his head too hard, but it still hit the ground. If even back in 2006 they were worried about that horse having a concussion, was there any concern about Phantom having one after yesterday?

Thanks!

Boyd clear on Luke. I have a feeling Jung and Chipmunk will do this course easily.

The audio’s desynced for this interview with Peter Wylde and it’s making me nuts…

All the interviews have been out of sync, but the crowd and jumping seems synced so I’d rather have that. I can just listen to the interviews without watching their lips.

I refreshed my stream and it fixed it. My app’s got this weird thing where it glitches between full screen mode and the initial small screen/start list.

Man, Cooley Space Grey seems very quick across the ground.

I think the crowd noises are a little ahead based on their reaction to the jumps. It’s just more noticeable when you see them talking to people.

It was nice to hear the interview with Peter Wylde. Does anyone know who else he helps besides Boyd Martin?

I think you are right. I will refresh during the drag break.

I watched Boyd’sxc ride this morning on Connor, (thanks to whoever posted it!) it went to a video of him on a new 6 year old TB. He went on about his love of TBs. The horse looked nice!

It is definitely behind the live score link.

Anyone know when you ae allowed to wear the pinque? I know how you EARN one, but when are you allowed to wear it thereafter?

Air Bruno! I thought he looked a bit gassed on XC yesterday but he was full of it today. Great to see!

Man, Bruno is just spectacular. So much scope. To echo the broadcasters… what a testament to the care team behind them that he came out and jumped so darn well after giving the XC his all yesterday.

he looked like he jumped a foot over that one fence!

I would like to see a rule where even though it was not technically a fall under the rules for Elimination, this type of “fall” would be treated like blood - stop the horse, have vets have a look, and then if appropriate let them continue.
