Too bad about the yucky weather and consequent rain delay. But as Kyle Carter would say that is the sport!!
It’s raining pretty heavily again but lightning is done. They’re still planning on starting in a few minutes.
We’re hiding in the trade fair nice and dry
Just heard thunder again! Are they delaying again?
Edited nope the coverage is starting! Guess not!
when I went to the world championships in 86, in Australia, it rained for both days of dressage. It was shortly after the Man from Snowy River had been released, and EVERYONE including me, had bought an oilskin coat. I think I heard it said it was the driest state, and yet it rained (3?) days of 4. I only remember 2 but it was a lot.
Question for anyone who is there this year. I go every year with my friend but due to my work we weren’t able to go this year. Do they have the boards up with QR codes to book tickets for next year? Would anyone there possibly be able to message me and send me a picture so we could get our seats for next year? I know it’s a big ask but I feel bad we’re missing it because of me.
When you’re wet - you’re wet! My DD rode xc down there one yr in driving rain. She said her horse packed her around xc that she couldn’t see much of any of the fences.
Rain let up again, the radar shows another storm coming through around noon. It looks smaller than this current one.
I’ll try to remember when we leave today!
it is running
as soon as I posted… Well, Will C is up next!
Will and Timmy were just a delight to watch! I’m sad I’ll be out and about during their XC tomorrow
Will is such a beautiful rider
