Hi all, wondering if I can get your input on Kiefer trailers since the company changed ownership. A friend is looking at a 2015 2+1 for sale several states away listed for just under 20k. Any red flags here? She’s replacing a Sundowner with a rusted out steel frame and wants to avoid glaring manufacturing defects on her next trailer. Most the online reviews I’m finding are pretty outdated. Any input appreciated, thank you!
Kiefer trailers are well constructed and have a reputation for long life. $20,000 sounds about right for the size and year without knowing more about the condition or options on it. Nothing available closer to home?

I have a friend who has a Keifer Built trailer and the thing is junk. The roof has always leaked, the rear doors rotted around the latches and the ramp has been replaced twice. She just spent a ton of money redoing the roof again. This time, she had the entire roof replaced. I wouldn’t take one for free.
