I found a used Kieffer Phryso this weekend, but cannot find anything about this model online. What I can find is in German (I think). Feedback?
As far as I know this is quite a rare saddle even in Europe, as it fits mostly Friesian horses (Phryso). It is more popular in the Netherlands/Belgium where these horses are mostly bred and most comments online are in Dutch. It must be a quite old model as it is not advertised by Kieffer any more.
That’s kind of what I figured out with Google translate. I found one for sale abroad, but that’s it.
This saddle was replaced by Kieffer Lusitano, that is now recommended for “baroque” horses. Andalusian, PRE, Friesians. Short and wide. This would have wider than standard tree and pannels (sorry if my wording is incorrect - English is not my first language). Tree might be even like 35 or 37.
Thank you! That gives me a good start.
