The Keystone International Livestock Exposition is once again holding the KILE Open Horse at the PA Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg.
The 3-day show (9/25-9/27) now runs 3 rings, offering hunter classes and a few schooling jumper classes in addition to trail, pleasure, showmanship, driving, gaming, equitation, reining, halter, therapeutic, and mini classes.
Classes are $10. Stalls $40 for the weekend.
The classes have ribbons to 8th place and paybacks to 6th place. Overall hunter, adult and youth championships with cash prizes.
A scholarship is awarded each year to a student who volunteered or exhibited in prior years.
New for this year is a Model Horse Show (NAMHSA app. pending) Sat. 9/26 and some jackpot classes for PA Equine Council members.
Nice facility, all indoors. Trade show, silent auction and concessions onsite (last year we even had the “Farm Show milkshakes”.
