Killing weeds in on Horse Property (not pasture)

Thanks goldenrow- I have a grad degree in weed science and it’s not too often I get to use it with the general public!
A graduate degree in weed science?! I hate weeds so much!! I’m not sure I could stand to study them at the graduate level! But thanks for joining the discussion.

I definitely don’t have a fondness for weeds- but understanding their biology and herbicide physiology makes it much easier to get rid of them!

Gee, I think I’ll get right on that and start putting oil & glycophosphate on my salads!

(Please, if you can POSSIBLY cite a source for your statement, I’d love to see it!)
You can find links to numerous toxicity studies and information about both at www.pesticideinfo.org.

Also, not to nit-pick, but GLYPHOSATE is the AI in RoundUp - not GLYCOPHOSPHATE. It may seem like a small typing error, but when it comes to chemists and agronomists - it’s important to get it right!

For example, we use a lot of glyphosate and glufosinate. They look similar. They sound similar. They are totally different! Different site of action, different traits, and different rates. I’ve seen the results of mixing them up - it ain’t pretty!
