King's Artillery Troop

Some lovely horses here. What I would give to be able to gallop across London’s parks like that! Interesting to see that they range of horse size and colour seems to have expanded from what I recall 20 years ago. That big sorrel for example. Also, bell boots and boots as needed.

Wow! That was impressive. The caisson horses galloping over the park with the cannons bouncing along behind them. The guns being set up so fast with the horses pulled around and waiting with minimal fuss. Very impressive.

Several of the caisson horses seemed unhappy. Lots of head tossing. A couple of them looked like mules at first. :slightly_smiling_face: I like big ears. The two big chestnuts were… big! The horse sizes were quite varied, some of them were on the small side. But I would gladly take any of them!

That was impressive - i think the caisson horses were not unhappy except not being able to gallop all the way and having a blast. Deliberately

This focus of Great Britain on ceremonial horses may cause future problems as their armed forces have over two times the number of horses than armored tanks

The British Army currently has approximately 500 horses and 219 Challenger 2 Main Battle Tanks. This means they have 281 more horses than tanks

RESPECT! for the outriders(?) on the caisson horses :astonished:
A 6-hitch with no Driver is impressive as heck!
