Yes I do have a Palomino leopard Knabstrupper and he is a premium awarded approved stallion and for sale. His dam was also the mother of Agamemnon who was sold to USA some years ago and had died young unfortunately.

RPSI have 2 books, and stallions recorded in Book 2, are NOT approved for breeding. thus their offspring won’t get papers.
And not ALL ZfDP stallions are accepted by RPSI, so if you plan to breed to a ZfDP stallion it is important that you call RPSI and make sure that they will in fact accept that stallions offspring.
This is important, as at least one of the stallions you mentioned is a Book 2 horse.

He looks Snowcap to me, but De Niro does not carry the spotted gene, so how can he then be a Snowcap?
Aurum, I suspect if we had a good photo of him, we’d see small spots inthat white blanket on his rump. Obvioulsy, if his sire is De Niro, he CANNOT be a snowcap.
And if he IS a snowcap (no little spotties in that blanket), then I’d want a DNA test done to make sure of his sire.
He is parentage verified
Since the Danes require Parentage Verification via DNA for all horses, you can be assured that he has been verified to be sired by De Niro.
and I think his summer coat shows very small spots of a lighter color.
Personally I kind of like the light body dark extremities look. Peony looks a lot like that now. Though she is a true few spot.

I was putting Peony as a snow cap as she only had a white blanket as a foal, was that wrong? Since this stallion is just marked like she was, I thought he was a snow cap too as I could not see any spots on him.

I bought a yearling Knab crossbred as a resale project years ago. He was by Agamemnon, out of an Oldenburg mare. He is Palomino without spots, exept on his boy parts:) and his sclera had white marks. He is super cute, talented, brave and rediculously ammy friendly. Super jumper, good dressage horse, and he built my confidence back up hacking him down the road when he was only 4!. I’m a bit of a whimp right now, and won’t just hop on any 4 year old. I really think a good amount of his exceptional disposition was from the Knabstrubber side of the family.
I bought him for resale but if I had more time to ride I would have kept him for my self.

Yes, they love him. He was purchased by a retired gentleman as a pleasure/dressage horse. He was my only palomino. Now my barn is filled with bays with the rare chesnut or black. BORING:)

VERY pretty baby (although I’m not much of a judge of youngsters )! You just never know WHAT you’re going to get when you throw that Lp gene into the mix and you won’t EVER really know. My few spot mare looked the same her entire life until at 8 or 9 she decided to become a snowcap and is “ticking out” on her body where her skin is dark. Can’t wait to see pictures of your filly as she grows!
