I’m thinking of a CWD specifically, but I expect this applies to other brands too: on a saddle with a long flap, are the knee roll and flap also a different shape, to accommodate a longer femur? Or is the knee roll essentially the same on both a regular and long flap saddle, but the long flap just has a bit more leather at the bottom of the saddle flap?
(I hope that makes sense…)
Basically, I’m riding in a regular length/forward flap saddle, and my knees go a little over the knee rolls. I’m wondering if a long forward flap would help or not. I have (apparently) very long femurs, but regular length calves.
Going up in seat size is probably not the answer. It’s a 17.5 inch, and I’m only 5’8 with chicken legs.
