KWPN-Harness Book Horses marketed to H/J

On her farm website upset about someone challenging her on Plaid Horse Classifieds, I think. Clearly there is a bit of a vendetta thing going if people feel the need to track down her sales ads and diss her.

Honestly, from what Iā€™ve seen and heard I believe she is a bit of a drama llama. Her FB page is full of disputes with vets, buyers, braiding clients, etc.

I was in that convo. In the original post, which was an ad (thinly veiled or not) in a popular TPH group, she was asked point-blank if the horse was a DWB or DHH, and she went with DWB. Hence what ensued.

Ah that makes sense.

Lol.

Seemed to me like more like a surprising number of different commenters were warning others to stay far, far away. Honestly, I didnā€™t have the time to read through it all. Maybe 30 people commentedā€¦???

Hello all! I have been notified of this post. Moneypitt/aka Bethany Unwin has started again. I do have an extensive proven breeding program that incorporates harness lines but you can email drew Kemerling at kwpn to ask just what studbook they are registered in. I have baloubet du rouet, con Capilot, Ogano sitte, figaro b, jackaroo, emerald, roc USA, etc babies. This all started by an ad I placed on thermal classifieds. Bethany Unwin had inquired on numerous horses of mine in the past. She asked if it was Dutch Warmblood or Dutch harness and I answered Dutch Warmblood. I then looked at our chat history over multiple horses she inquired on and noticed she was a tire kicker so I blocked her. At that point she created her own post on thermal classified going after my breeding program. People commented that have had ā€œissuesā€ with me that 75% Iā€™ve never met or had any communication with. There is a group of people that have all bought horses from me and they have their own happy Fb page. One disgruntled buyer who bought a horse without papers, per the sales contract, and then said the 2yo filly raped her stallion and thatā€™s why it had a baby so early in life. I have nothing to hide and everyone that has a horse from me is in communication with me and nothing has ever been undisclosed or hidden. Now that being said, what Bethany has done has started something that was unjust and irresponsible. A claim was filed in court yesterday due to her actions. Iā€™ve been In the horse world on the west coast since I was born. And I am a braider. Of course I have had run ins with people, as almost everyone in the equine industry. Itā€™s a bunch of hs cheerleaders. I speak my mind, I call people out for their foul behavior, and I stand by it. Iā€™m 100% honest and people do not like that. I do confront others but I do so tactfully. This vendetta by Bethany because I blocked her for being a tire kicker has been only tacky. Feel free to stalk my fb page, message me, heck even call me 480-567-5699. Iā€™m open to any and all questions and always around to educate people on the lines. Wish everyone the best and have a great summer!

The irony. Because although I havenā€™t interacted with her in years, in my opinion Bethany is a real piece of work and pretty obnoxious about her efforts to scrub the internet of any truthful negative statements about her.

So here you come from facebook having ā€œbeen notifiedā€ of a discussion on the COTH forum regarding the difference between the KWPN harness book and the plain old KWPN book warmbloods that most people associate with dressage and/or jumping lines.

I am confused by your hostile response and the attempt to name someone who is posting under a screen name. . This is why I donā€™t venture on to facebook and I wish facebook users wouldnā€™t appear here without reading the rules (and the room) because theyā€™ve been ā€œnotifiedā€ that their name has been mentioned.

@Kasheare, this is not facebook and it is not cool nor acceptable under the rules of this forum (did you read the rules when you joined today?) to post or guess at the IRL identity of another forum member.

Many members of the forums are aware of who is who, because they know each other IRL or because they have been members here for years. It doesnā€™t reflect well upon you when you come crashing in like a bull in a china shop to a forum that has rules (that are apparently more stringent than facebook) and break them first post.

Some people donā€™t mind having their names known. Others have good reasons for insisting on anonymity and that must be respected.

I have no idea who you are. I have no interest nor opinion about your business and I donā€™t know Moneypitt from Adam. I am just tired of the incivility. Thereā€™s nothing wrong with a good debate (in my opinion) but can we keep it at a civil level, to the facts, and not snipe at one another?

Thank you skydy.

I can assure you that I am not someone named, Bethany Unwin.

I can also assure you there is/was deliberate intent to deceive naive buyers thus this topic.

Hmmm. I have no idea who Moneypitt is IRL. I do know they joined COTH last fall and their questions have been on hunter jumper topics.

And the topics that made me remember them have been ones like the earbud in helmet one. That was a month or so back. They said they had seen a national level junior rider at some point in the past who was getting surreptitious remote instruction in the ring via hidden headphones. Junior was now a rising pro trainer gaining prominence.

The topic got quite a bit of traffic, but no traction from COTH to hint or name at the identity of the junior.

This thread here on the KWPN horses is similar in that it got traffic, but not much pearl clutching from anyone but the OP.

When I went Googling for the KWPN breeder I found her FB page complaining about Bethanyā€™s comments on Plaid Horse Thermal Classifieds, but the posts had evaporated by the time I went to that site. Bethany (Googled) appears connected to a California h/j barn.

I must say I after I found that FB page, I did wonder about the timing. It made it clear that the appearance of this thread was part of larger online fight, not just the random original observations of the OP. The thread appeared here right when things were blowing up on TPH but did not reference or link to that. But itā€™s clear in hindsight that the post here was linked in intent and timing.

Anyhow, the difference between this thread and the earbuds one is that the person who is the subject of the topic has come on in person (presumably, but they are using a user name, so we can never really know) to out themselves and defend themselves from OP, and continue the fight that started on TPH.

Break out the popcorn, as they say over on the dressage forum.

If you want to attempt to stir the pot; itā€™s important to get your ingredients right.

First off; where did I ever state the former junior rider with ear buds in their helmet, is now an ā€˜aspiring professional trainerā€™? I never did write that nor was it inferred because that is not true.

Second, I posted this topic a month before someone else aka not me; posted their Harness Horse comment on FB. Again I am not the person who posted regarding this on FB. Nor do I have any personal connection to that person. Clear now?

Third: there is no connection between people, places or things with the exception of both being horse related topics.

So good luck with your recipe for pot stirring; as seems to be ā€˜yourā€™ thing. Maybe it might behoove you to check your ingredients list carefully?

I do think that is open to debate, just going by what Iā€™ve seen here (have no idea where the FB drama is playing out.)

FWIW pre-new-board, Bethany was a member here. Her username was SLSDelmar and she does not have appear to have used that login since the board switch.

I donā€™t understand it to be against the rules to identify a person by name and say ā€œI have had a negative experience with this person.ā€ Or to suggest that you believe a member might be that person. In fact the rules say you are expressly allowed to discuss a negative experience so long as youā€™re not accusing someone of a crime.

The new member didnā€™t ā€œsuggestā€ though. They posted ā€œMoneypitt aka Bethany Unwinā€. I donā€™t believe that is allowed. Iā€™ll ask @Moderator_1

It might not be a nice thing to do but I donā€™t see a rule against it.

Perhaps it isnā€™t a rule. I am waiting for mod1ā€™s response. You may be right, it may be something that just isnā€™t done here. Another reason I donā€™t enjoy facebook.

Thinking back, there have been instances where people have identified others, but it was usually the bad actors that were identified because they were unscrupulous and playing games.

If moneypitt started these threads to drag on someoneā€™s business just because that person didnā€™t want to deal with tire kicking, seems like arguably moneypitt is the bad actor. I will say that quite a few of her threads seems like real gossipy pot stirring and sheā€™s not the only California poster I can think of with that style
