Just wondering if you guys can help me or if I need to get in touch with the breeder…bought a 5 year old mare several months ago who is by a KWPN stallion and out of a TB dam. Breeder also owned sire and dam but for whatever reason we didn’t get papers with her and the breeder’s broker who we purchased her from doesn’t know why.
Is there any easy way to get this mare registered or is the best way to somehow find out how to contact her breeder?
To save on headaches and running around, I would get in touch with the breeder directly. Since there was a broker as a go between, they should willingly provide you with the contact information for the breeder.
You’ll have to have her re-DNA’d to have the paper issued unless she has a microchip on file (less likely). It costs a few hundred bucks to get done when all is said and done. Contact Drew at the KWPN–she’s the best and incredibly helpful.
