Labor Day Sales?

Any horsey labor day sales?

I had stuff in my cart at Riding Warehouse but they’re only doing a gift card for over $150 purchase.

I was hoping for a Smartpak sale because I have worn holes in my favorite Pipers but no dice so far. :frowning:

I’m in the same boat. SmartPak ALWAYS has a Labor Day sale. I need a mounting block so am definitely waiting for at least 15% off from somebody.

I may have refreshed the smartpak page 12 times today

I literally have “Smartpak labor day sale” written on my to do list. I will be VERY SAD if I have to scratch it off.

To be honest, I’m not seeing a lot of advertised Labor Day Sales… Generally they are in the email, FB ads, banners on COTH, etc etc (etc) and just not as much this year.

pretty hard to have a sale when the cost of the items are constantly subjected to runaway increases

The industry I am in has seen 10% to 20% price increases this year.

Product shortages would be another issue as no one really knows if the inventory is there until it is in the warehouse

I get that, for sure. But the only thing NOT going up is my paycheck, so I wait for sales when I can. :frowning:

Yeah. VTO Saddlery used to have regular sales; haven’t had an email from them in quite a while. Are they in business any more?

ETA: it looks as if they’re still around, but I can’t remember when I last got a sale email from them. Anyone else?

HorseWare is doing an additional 25% off sale items, but of course the Rambo fly sheet I need is excluded.

Cheshire Horse has a code for “up to” 20% off listed, so the value there might vary.

The question is why have a Sale when there is shortages of labor, shipping sucks, inventory is low, and the cost of capital is very, very low?

I spent nearly all my working life in marketing as either owner of the business or in national sales, I do not think the way Sales were handled will be back for a long time.

I suspect the Return will be targeted to known clients first, then to general public as inventories increase and there becomes a need to liquidate that inventory into cash.

Once the Fed starts increasing the prime rate then the Cost carrying a large inventory might drive the companies into selling off the product (or if it is date sensitive then the expiration date may drive the sale)

and they have you trained to look without actually having a sale… their round pen training of the clients needs no more work

Ditto Clanter.

The Distance Depot sent a 10% off code. I don’t see it on the website, but if you sign up for the email list you’ll probably get something. https://www.thedistancedepot.com/

I’ve been very happy with them – first found them when I was looking for neck collars and they have blaze orange reflective ones with a breakaway that have been perfect. They stock a lot of endurance and trail riding stuff but also general items.

Ok grumpy pants. The rest of us are looking for Labor Day Sales.

I just bought a pair of Ice-Fil Full Seat Tech Tights on sale at Kerrits. Their Labor Day sale has two items. Yes, that’s right. Two items. The tights I bought and a pair of kids’ tights.

I’ve got another pair of those tights and really like them, so I was happy to find them on sale. I don’t think all of the colors are on sale, though.

They have a lot of stuff on sale already because it’s the end of season on those items. If you click the general “sale” heading on their website instead of the labor day sale image, you’ll see it.

I mean, retailers are having sales. Country and Stable was doing 15% off site wide last weekend, including PS Sweden stuff, and earlier this summer Equiture was doing the same, which is not too common. They are UK based, but free/cheap shipping to US. There does seem to be a dearth of Labor Day sales this year, but that is probably good for my bank account and tack storage situation.

What I hate is the “up to X% off!” What it usually means is that what I want is full price but what no one wants you can get at a discount.

Well the SmartPak sale rolled in. 15% off and $50 gift card for a $200 order. Code LaborDay21 good through 9/10.

Was coming here to make sure someone updated the thread! LOL
