Lami Cell Half Pad - 2 different options?

This is the one that I am used to seeing… but has anyone used this one (linked below)? I have not seen this one before.

They are two different pads. Has anyone ever used the second one? It doesn’t look like there are many reviews on the companies I have found that carriy them.

I have not seen the second one either. I used to own the first one you listed but had a hard time with the saddle sliding backwards off of it. It would be interesting to know if the second version has a cover that isn’t as slick. A softer foam that still protected as well would also be nice.

@Inclined Hoping that someone who has one will let us know! The second version looks like it would be “stickier”. We have an “original” version in my barn that I do like riding in but it sort of feels like I’m riding “on top” rather than around my horse. My horse has back issues so I am looking for something with spine relief and yet something that is protecting of his back. The original might work for me but I am very interested to see if the second would work better!

If you’re not completely sold on the Lamicell yet, another option might be this: http://www.ridingwarehouse.com/Weatherbeeta_Memory_Foam_Anti-Slip_Comfort_Half_Pad/descpage-WMFP.html . It’s about the same thickness as the first Lamicell, but much softer and squishier, and the cover is a suede-like material, so it doesn’t slide. I really like this pad, and though my current ride doesn’t need it, I’m definitely keeping it for future use.

@Inclined thanks for sharing! I will definitely look into it!

You’re very welcome! Hope you find what you need!
