Lami-Cell Half Pad Picture?

Does anyone have a picture of the Lami-Cell Memory Foam (or Gel) Pad under their saddle?

Could I see it? How big is your saddle?

I saw in some comments that people use it under their western saddles, so I am fearing it will look even sillier than the Ogilvy looked under my saddle.

Funny you should ask! My friend wanted me to send her a picture too, so I will be taking one later today  It’s definitely smaller than the Ogilvy.

Here’s one. Saddle is a 17.5 Tad Coffin, but they run smallish. Lami-Cell is too long. Its drop is fine, but I wish it did not stick out so far in back of the saddle. I might otherwise use it for local shows, but for now, it will have to remain a schoolling pad.

I suppose I could move the pad forward relative to the saddle, but in the position in the picture, the front part of the pad fills in where I want it to. Saddle is too wide for him, but you can see the pad. FYI, I like the pad a lot. It seems a little stiff when you first put it on, but warms up and molds to back.

I don’t have a pic at the moment, but I’ve used a Lami-Cell under both my Luc Childeric 17" and Butet 17" and it did not appear too long with either, there was an even amount of ‘leftover’ in the back, less than any fleece pad I’ve used.

I wish they would make them in white. I was trying to figure out how to make a cover for mine when a friend surprised me with an ogilvy (I help take care of her horse and she overheard me complaining about my black half pad). Not complaining, because I love my ogilvy, but I think lami-cell would sell more if they offered that option.

Ok here are the pics I took for my friend yesterday:

Hope this helps!

Thank you so much, yall!

Going to give this a shot- the links are public on my Facebook.

I have a lami cell that I wanted to be able to use for a show pad. I purchased Dover’s Half Back Pad on a whim, in hopes that I could get the Lami Cell to fit inside. It worked- and I am one happy camper!

What size is your saddle?
It looks great and the cover looks awesome!

The Antares and the Voltaire are 18". I have a 17" Jaguar that I use this combo with as well and it fits just as nicely!

The Dover half back pad comes with the flimiest foam inserts that I took out so I could put the lami cell in. That cover washes up great! Love the combo, just had to be a little creative to get the pad I wanted!

Oooo where did you get the cover??

Cover is from Dover Saddlery. It’s their “half back pad”. Comes with flimsy foam inserts. Take the inserts out and put your lami cell in. You can get it here:

So is it safe to say that the lami memory foam is pretty much just like the ogilvy pad just thinner?

lami cell is a “harder pad”- softens up significantly with use, I wouldn’t at all compare it to my ogilvy pad. It’s not nearly as squishy or thick. To be honest, I prefere the lami cell.

You could probably cut it to fit with an exacto knife.

No…they aren’t a solid piece of material like a thin line, but rather covered and bound foam. You would cut the whole thing open.

I don’t have any pictures, but I’ve used them here or there over the years with some horses. I guess the were all jumpers so we didn’t think anything of the size or color (they at actually a lot lower profile than an Oglivy, lol). But very clever Reminisce!

I use a Lami-Cell with one of my horses. 17" CWD 2Gs with a short flap. This one is the memory foam

Jump
Snug fit between jumps

A pad that I use on a couple of our other horses has a slimmer profile, and is relatively new to the US. It’s a Sedelogic pad. It’s not foam or gel, more of an airy weave that has a similar effect to memory foam.
