Landrover shopping!

Did you check both merch tents??? There was a MUCH bigger one by the top of the hill across from the stadium. I had to take pics of all the hat options to buy one for a friend here at home. I sent her 15 pics. This was on Saturday Am.

The smaller one closer to Voltaire etc was awful. But the big one was great @skipollo

Em

I wasn’t there in person unfortunately but was hoping to buy one online. I just thought it was strange that they didn’t show any online, just a blank page. My last one is literally falling apart

Yeah I went to the big one right behind the stadium, it was so sparse and overpriced. The prices were lower on the last day, but nothing really caught my eye.

I actually think this was one of the best years for deals I’ve had in a while. Granted, some of that is luck to now owning a size-tiny thing. Two Rambo Optimos for $100 each, a CWD girth for $40, an Antares bridle for under $350, set of Majyk XC boots
Of course, I offset this by buying the Espoir jacket I’ve been drooling over for months at full price and Le Chameau wellies!

I bought some freeride leggings, a fleeceworks saddle pad (XC cut with the wool underside)(20% off on sunday), a cool shirt that probably wasn’t super discounted, but I hadn’t seen before, and cosequin was buy 1 get 1 free, so I got a couple - that was probably my biggest purchase.

I thought there were more discounts/sale racks in places this year, but fewer booths of interest. There seemed to be a lot of what we dubbed the “infomercial booths” wanting you to sit in their chair, try their skincare products, etc etc . . . and some of them were fairly aggressive which was annoying. But we found some good deals on some things like Rambo turnouts (50% off) and Espoir sale items (also 50%). And the Cosequin promotion is always great if you use their products. You had to be aware and not just get sucked in by the sale sign – SmartPak had something like 20% off the Hadley and Piper breeches in their tent, but also had them 30% off on their website at the same time.

Our favorite first time vendor was Stylish in the Saddle on the upper level of the indoor, she had really cute home and gift stuff that was reasonably priced! And we always enjoy shopping at Clever with Leather!

Lovers Leap Winery. I was unreasonably upset that they were missing this year! One of my fav things was to purchase a glass (and a bottle) to sip and shop.

That’s them! I too buy a glass and a bottle and was sad.

I feel like the event tent has sucked the last two years. It’s overpriced with limited selection. The old event tent was more fun. T-shirts of every color! The past two years it’s been boring grays, whites, etc. And stupid prices. I wish they’d go back to what they were doing.

I miss Perri’s. They haven’t been there since covid, if not before. French’s boots / shoes wasn’t there. I miss Animals to Wear and Bit of Britain but they’ve both been gone for some time.

Yup those are the shirts I miss! They were well made and held up, classic fit, and they were like $20-$25 so very reasonably priced.

I got a t shirt last year and it’s already worn out, the material is really cheap and it’s pilled and thin

and it cost me like $45 :triumph:
