For those who are there, where are the deals? Favorite shops? New shops? Shops that are missing? Food and alcohol choices?
I havenāt seen a āgoodā deal at Rolex in 10 years. The good thing about it actually seeing stuff in person instead of a catalogue.
In previous years I didnāt notice many great deals, but this year there are a decent number of ā20% off the entire boothā with some stuff being 40-50% off. Kerrits has some really good sales. FreeRide has plenty, I think SmartPak had some.
The official event merch tent was a bust. They donāt have many options and itās all atrociously priced. I did get a hat I really like though.
RRP has some really pretty shirts, both casual and riding. Weāre going back there tomorrow. Thereās a booth near RRP that has a boatload of Kastel, and a lot of that is on sale. I have a self-imposed sunshirt buying ban right now because itās an addiction, but if you need some more the prices are great.
I didnāt see EQ Designs this year, which is sad. I wanted to get another t shirt from them.
got a free book āTraining the three-day event horse and riderā by Jimmy Wofford for free at the practical horseman magazine booth. It was marked 27.95 so feeling good about that !
I found some great deals.
FITS had some nice clothing 50% off. Smartpak brands were an extra 20% off. Kerrits had a special, 3 sunshirts for $79. Jeffers Pet had Good Ramboās in a few sizes for $100.
Correct Connect booth had new stuff & great gloves.
āBloody Maryās were really good.
High end saddle pads were lacking this year.
A tack store local to me, The Tacky Horse, is there for the first time. Not sure how discounted anything is, but they carry a line I love - Espoir Equestrian. Compared to other brands, a very unique, high end look at a fraction of the price. I got a show jacket for around $300 that looked like the ~$1000 jackets. I also love Zero Proof Horse Treats. They were at Equine Affaire and some tack stores carry them as well (Tacky Horse, Wise Choice). My horses love them but they legit smell like KY cocktails - barn favorite is mint julep!
Yanno I noticed that too, Iām looking for a dressage show pad with no piping and a lot of wither relief, and itās shockingly hard to find? Thereās an EcoGold booth, but Iām not looking to spend that much $$. I would like the LeMieux suede finish in white, but no one has them here I guess.
What kind of deals we talking about with the Correct Connect? Iām not attending but Iāve been thinking about buying. Maybe I can get a friend to pick it up for me.
I love Espoir! One of our local tack shops carries them as well. I bought a show jacket from them and I get nice comments from everyone when I wear it. I saved it for special occasions but it washes up so well I now wear it all the time.
Jealous of all those there and shopping!
Last yearās gloves are on sale for $35.
I was looking for the same saddle pad.
HAHA well if I find one Iāll post the booth here. The Schneiders booth has some LeMieux pads but not white
Back on track wasnāt there this year either.
Majyk Equipe Booth has 20% off XC boots (maybe all boots?) - I have no idea if thatās unusual but I was already planning to get them so I was happy!
I got a original Rambo for $100 in the Jeffers booth and a $40 mesh show coat. Aubrion tights for $30 a $20 hoodie and cowl neck in the Stateline booth. A 50% off show shirt in the Fits booth.
Iām not there this year but I was looking online to see if I could at least get a hat (my 2016 is falling apart) but they donāt seem to be selling any.
Thatās weird, they had a bunch of hats yesterday. Maybe they sold out already. I can pop back in tomorrow AM to confirm.
Missing was the wine vendor in the trade fair area, I buy bottles every year and was so sad. Does anyone remember their name?
Also, does anyone know who the cheese vendor is in the trade fair? It was delicious but I meant to stop at the end and grab some as it needed to be kept cold and totally forgot.
Itās weird that they donāt show anything on the online store. Theyāve got shirts but if you click on hats⦠nothing!
