Lanes End announced today that Langfuhr has been pensioned. One of my favorite old stallions at stud sad to see him go but happy to see he’s earned his retirement. He is 26 years old. Well done old timer!
He was a reliable producer of durable, classy horses.

So sad. I lost my langfuhr weanling filly in a pasture accident last winter. So many Hope’s and dreams gone in an instant. I had hopes of going back to him.

I have friends who do fox hunting and cross country in Maryland. They’re favorite horses in the barn are the Langfuhrs. Great athletic ability, jumping talent, and quality builds. He sired tough horses who were consistent. @jennywho sorry to hear about your weanling 
. I am sure Langfuhr sired a few foals in 2018, perhaps they will be offered in the coming months
I just saw a Langfuhr listed on CANTER and seriously considered pulling the trigger.
Go look at him, Snaffle. The easiest horse I ever worked with was a Langfuhr mare. Lovely attitude and a dream to ride.
