It is time for me to replace my rubber mats, but I am having a hard time finding ones I want. I hate seams in my mats, and would prefer to buy an uncut 12x10 mat, but would settle for two 6x10 mats.
Does anyone know where to get mats this size?
Have you considered the interlocking mats? I say this because in our first barn we put 6x12 mats down (2 per stall) and honestly they were impossible to move, it took everything we had to get them in stalls, once there, we have never moved them again, they are just too heavy. While seems are a pita, you will still have one long one; if anything gets under it you will never be able to lift the mats to get it out.
We ordered ours long ago so don’t remember but if you look at some of the places that sell them there may be some that do custom sizes but I would highly recommend rethinking it.
you will not be able to move mats of this size with ease. it will cause more problems than it is worth. i would try the interlocking ones in one stall and see how you like them before deciding which route to take
Both Runnings and Tractor Supply sell rubber flooring on a roll so you buy it whatever width it is by however long you want it. It is not as thick as the traditional 4’x6’ stall mat but clearly that would not roll and be movable at those sizes.
I really do need to get larger mats. I am tired of breaking my pitchforks on the edges of mats.
I think the roll is what I need to go with. However, I can’t find the roll online in TSC?
Years ago, I ordered my gigantic rubber mats from LinearRubber. They can make one mat for 12x12 I believe. You just need to tell them the dimension you need. You will need some sort of machinery to pick up the mat from the freight truck. As you can imagine, it is extremely heavy. However, it is quite easy to install, far easier than the 4x6 mats. Once you get one corner into place, you just roll it out, and walk on it.

My Tractor Supply just recently started carrying this stuff and I love it. I don’t have stalls (or a barn), but I use rubber mats under water troughs and feed tubs. Tractor Supply’s true stall mats (4x6x3/4) are a bugger to handle, but the on-a-roll stuff is easily manageable.
Here is a link to the thicker of the two on-a-roll mats:
Our local farm store has bigger stall mats that we used in our wash rack. They aren’t a lot bigger, at 4’x8’ as opposed to the usual 4’x6’ ones. But they are harder to move, which is kind of what we wanted, as they shift less. In the end, however, I think I’ll be changing over to the interlocking ones in there as muck still gets in the seams and causes the mats to eventually bubble up. Drives me crazy.
I don’t think the roll stuff comes thick enough to be useful as stall mats. At least, the stuff I’ve seen locally sure doesn’t. It is ok for aisle runners and the like but I just don’t think it would work in stalls.
Since the roll is only 4" wide you’d still end up with multiple mats, and I’m not sure it would be heavy enough to provide much padding in a stall (I can see where it would be great for aisles and stuff though). We have some stalls done with the TSC mats and some that were done with free mats that originally were belts at a sawmill and are thinner-- the TSC ones are much nicer.
Mats for conveyor belts are not suitable for horse stalls. They are too thin, and too slippery. You need to get those designed for horses.

I looked into those, but they now have a minimum for buying. too bad
We got ours from a dairy that was selling out.
You may check with them where they get them.
These are twice the price of the usual black rubber mats. However, they are very light, and they are interlocking, and they have much more cushioning effect. If you trim them to fit your stalls they stay tight and don’t move or curl. Love them! But if I had multiple stalls, I might not shell out for them for the while barn.

IME, even the black mats can stay quit tight if you trim to fit, and if they are new, not starting to wear out on the edges.
I bought 12x6 from Linear Rubber, I think I got 4 in order to do 2 stalls.
One thing I appreciated is that they will custom cut them for you–my stalls were not quite 12x12, they are a couple inches smaller, so they were able to make the mats fit perfectly. They were definitely heavy–one person can roll them, or move one end at a time, but I couldn’t lift one completely by myself.
I have used the roll type for the aisle–very convenient but less padding.

Can you give me the link of who you bought them from?

Maybe different TSCs carry different products, but a few years ago I bought a bunch of length of THIS stuff off the roll. It did not work well in my stalls-- it was too lightweight and shifted easily despite being cut larger than most traditional mats. The rubber also started to warp and crack being after about a year of being exposed to fluctuating temperatures and wear and tear from the horses. I’d suggest saving your money!

Yes, horse flooring mats should be at least 3/4" to hold down well.
The lighter mats are ok for walls, trailers, etc.
We have bought off that roll to make downspout mats so rain water is diverted where it won’t wash back into the structures.
I did 5 stalls in the 6x12 mats from linear. Did a broodmare stall later on in the smaller standard mats. What a mistake. I’ll never use the small ones again. Wish the larger ones were easier /cheaper to get.
