I love my trainer, but sometimes I think he communicates with horses a bit better than he communicates with people. I’d love to supplement my lessons with another perspective, and while tootling around the internet, I came across Larry Trocha’s videos. Anyone have experience with them? I’m eyeballing the “how to lope slow” series.
Along the same vein, has anyone subscribed to Warwick Schiller’s videos?
I’ve watched most of Larry Trocha’s YouTube videos and did find some helpful tips.
Warwick Schiller is my favourite horse trainer. I don’t subscribe to his website but I’ve watched all his YouTube videos (and check for new ones weekly), I have 3 DVD sets and I’ve been to a WS clinic. He explains things very well. I’ve used things he teaches on two of my horses to help them relax and gain confidence. I like that he uses little steps to increase confidence without over doing it and, as he puts it: “never asks a horse to do anything it doesn’t already know the answer to.”
