Lasers

I am beginning the search for a legit ‘cost effective’ cold laser. This company/website “seems” to be telling the truth. I called and spoke to a rep. Anybody here done business with them?

https://www.coldlasers.org/laserex/3000vet/

Also - I was hoping to spend $500, but apparently, any of those are Chinese fakes - with fake marketing to go with the product.

Could spend the 2 Grand IF I was buying the right thing, and it would work as promised.

Any other brands, websites that you have personal experience with???

Notes from their website: Class 3 lasers must be less than 500mW per laser diode continuous output.

810 nm as the optimum wavelength because it produces the maximum interaction with the mitochondria.

And, apparently, having a pulse option is a benefit to only continuous.

PS - during my discussion with the rep he mentioned ATP (adenosine triphosphate) - which is what is activated during skin care red LED treatments and with amazing results over time (Like 1 x per week for 8 weeks). So it makes sense to me that if you are reenergizing the ATP, broad healing can occur.

Thanks to all contributors – you are THE BEST!!!

I do not have experience with that brand. I have a MR4Activet, class 4 (I’m pretty sure). Apparently they don’t make this model anymore  and the replacement is 2x the price: https://vet.multiradiance.com/vet/products/activet-pro-2.0

Mine looks identical in shape, with a green body, and a different program indicator (no LCD screen).

I use it primarily for muscle soreness/tightness (on horses, dogs, and myself), but originally purchased it for a ligament injury. I’ve also used it for wound healing, adding in the blue light.

Best money I’ve ever spent.

ETA I went to the website you linked, this is the one I have at a slightly higher price point than I paid 7 years ago. This one also doesn’t say “vet” so I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same or not.

I have an older version of this one. 100X supplement company has something similar often “on sale”.

My BO has the 100x one and likes it. I have another version of the Branderburg but off brand and like mine too. Chiro has Brandenburg and likes it. Chinese fakes? Maybe, I don’t have any way of testing to know. All 3 seem to give similar results on my horse. Currently using mine on my horse’s collateral ligament injury. Follow up ultrasound is in 4 weeks, but we are doing shockwave too so any improvement can’t be solely attributed to laser. For the minimal amount it’s worth, horsey seems to greatly enjoy the treatments: she gets sleepy or zones out and has lots of yawning/ licking/ chewing. Did her last session “at Liberty” in her round pen turnout the other day (no halter etc) and she stood for the whole of it which is as good a testament as any with her.

The problem I’m having attempting to sort through the options is that it seems like the ONLY info about a certain laser is ONLY coming from the website who sells it!

The one I listed first only has reviews from 9-years ago! It’s apparently Australian made (I’m in the US). Nothing online about it since - EXCEPT for the US distributor. A little biased, I’m sure.

I just want this for light work - not a career - so a price tag over $500 is a stretch. I would consider the over $2000 one, but that’s a lot of money to waste on a toy.

So, I suppose my next question is WHICH websites can I buy from - that you have used. Or do I just give up and buy a whatever on Amazon?

Has the Brandenburg one been used and loved by anyone here? It’s a MUCH better price point. But does it work?

Bought the Brandenburg! Finger’s Crossed!

I have the 100x. My horse definitely responds to it, whether or not it makes any lasting difference. I’ve used it regularly for about 2 years with no problems. The Chiro vet I used to use said the main difference between these and her $$$$$ laser is the time of application required to have an effect. It is time intensive to cover much of a 1500# horse.

Yes as I posted above, I have one. I use it on my horses and myself.

I thought that laser used to be $500. yikes. Please follow up with how you like it.

I have the 100x one. Use it on my horse and on myself. As stated above, applications time is a lot longer than for the really expensive, higher powered ones? But I spoke to several vets before buying it and they supported the decision to purchase. I do think it does something effective.
