Mark your calendars: Saturday, November 12th - Final match-up between the two pacing superstars - ALWAYS B MIKI & WIGGLE IT JIGGLEIT!
Was interested to see if they were both going to race
Should be yet another, and last, matchup!
A bump. At the Meadowlands tonight
Not sure of the time…
No such luck WIJI is done for the year: http://xwebapp.ustrotting.com/absolutenm/templates/article.aspx?articleid=72355&zoneid=1
WJI won’t be racing ABM one more time. At least their last meeting a week ago gave us something to remember.
Hopefully WJI will be back again next year!
One of the owners of Always B Miki, who also owns Always a Virgin (Miki’s sire), just bought Neverhaveneverwill (Virgin’s dam). She was at auction as an aged (21 yo) barren mare. She was brought home to live out her years.
Good going.

Holy Lord. I wish I had a photo that accurately depicted how much this mare looks like her mom, but this is the closest I could find:

I found her mother (Virgin’s grand-dam and Miki’s great-granddam) for $150, she a former champion herself, and she is also living the good life now: http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?231956-Any-Ideas-for-this-Old-Gal-(UPDATE-Happy-Ending!!)&highlight=wallis
Nice that these old grey mares get to live out their lives happily
OMG Big Tag - I missed your story the first time around, they look so much alike and the stories are just the same.
The world is a small small place.
Thank you for taking her on. I am going to visit Neverhave Monday to say hello.
Is there a gate time for tonight. When I was hunting around last week (my bad) I couldn’t not find where Meadowlands’ gate times for the day were posted
Meadowlands first post is 7:15 tonite, maybe 20 min per race so start looking just before 9pm
Thanks!
I do like these guys turn around races faster than the TBs
Where’sMyWhite, and anyone else who might be interested, you can find the scheduled start time for each race on http://www.ustrotting.com , go to the Racing (Enteries/Results) tab, select Enteries/Results on the drop down list, then select the race day you want. From there click on the track you’re interested in, then click the blue HERE and that will show you the enteries for every race at the selected track for that date. Planned post time is the last bit of info in the blue header for every race. If you’re interested in only one race on a particular day, instead of clicking HERE, just click on the race you want, and that is the only one that will come up.
When you have a race pulled up, the horse, driver, and trainer are blue and clickable, but that will take you to Pathways, which is the pay per use section.
US Trotting is fairly user friendly and there’s a lot you can find on there for free.
That was a great way for Miki to go out!
Tears in my eyes as he pulled away from the rest of the field down the stretch. Way to go out in style. Only need WJI in the field for the icing on the cake
Nice article about Miki’s grand dam and great grand dam rescues.
