Lauren Sprieser as clinician

My GMO is bringing her down this winter for a clinic. Would love some reviews if anyone has ridden with her… TIA

Lauren has been my trainer for going on 12 years now. She’s great at teaching you how to train your horse, rather than just giving a riding lesson. Obviously, I think she’s terrific because I’ve stayed with her (with plenty of other options around) for a long time. When I started with her I was riding a funny little half-Arabian at Training Level and she helped me with that horse and six others since then, as well as helping me train one horse from First Level to PSG, largely on my own with just regular lessons.

She tends to be clear in her direction and is very, very funny.

She’s hilarious, try to audit if nothing else because she’s such a riot to listen to. I rode with her in a clinic and found her to be a strong clinician and she definitely gave me some good things to think about and focus on with my horse. If you have the time and the means I would definitely recommend her.

She comes to my barn regularly and I love it when the timing works out in my schedule and I get to go watch. She is hilariously funny, has a great eye, is happy to teach anyone, and is a huge advocate for the horse. I haven’t ridden with her because I don’t quite feel comfortable in my riding yet to do so (I had a scary incident with my horse a while back so my confidence is on the rebound), but maybe when she comes back from Florida next year, I’ll decide to go for it.

I’ll echo what everyone else has said - she is delightful. I’ve ridden with her on a green, eventing OTTB and watched her teach students that struggle to post all the way up to schooling Grand Prix movements and she is helpful, patient, and supportive of everyone! I wish she came to my area more than once a year!

My kid did a clinic with her (my kid was 14 yr old at the time showing at training level) and I thought she was honest and supportive and it was a nice lesson. Was worthwhile and fun would have her go again.

Thanks everyone!!

She lives near me. I’ve not ridden with her but I’ve heard nothing but positive things & I loooooove her style on her blog. I bet she’s a fantastic clinician!
