For those of you in need of a sales (doesn’t matter which end you are on), here is a copy drafted by my lawyer. if anyone else asks for one in the future, have them search this thread. hope it helps!

Purchase Agreement
This Agreement is made between _________________________ (Purchaser) and _________________________ (Seller), for the horse (“Horse”) described below:

1. Price: Seller agrees to sell and Purchaser agrees to buy the Horse for the total sum of ___________________________________________ dollars ($______________), on the following terms.
2. Terms:
   a. The Purchaser agrees to pay $___________ as of this date as a deposit.
   b. The Purchaser will arrange for the Horse to be examined by a veterinarian of her choice as soon as practicable and will notify the Seller promptly if she is or is not satisfied with the result of the veterinarian’s examination, including review of any xrays that may be taken. If the Purchaser is not satisfied with the result of the veterinarian’s examination, the Seller agrees to refund the deposit and this Agreement shall terminate.
   c. If the Purchaser is satisfied with the result of the veterinarian’s examination, the Purchaser will pay the balance of the Price at the time the Horse is made available for trailering.
   d. The Seller will make the Horse available for trailering at the Seller’s address below upon a maximim of 14 days notice.
   e. The Seller will provide a copy of a current Coggins report.
3. Warranties: Seller guarantees that he/she is the owner of the Horse and that he/she has the right to sell the Horse, and will defend the Purchaser against any and all lawful claims and demands made by all persons with respect to ownership of the Horse. SELLER MAKES NO WARRANTIES AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY OF THE HORSE OR ITS FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. BUYER BUYS THE HORSE AS IS, WHERE IS.
4. Transfer of Ownership: Seller shall transfer all ownership and registration papers to Purchaser once payment in full has been received.
5. Risk of Loss: Seller assumes all risk of loss until Purchaser takes delivery of the horse.
6. Laws: The laws of [YOUR STATE] shall govern this Agreement.
