I own a slightly elderly (1994) Sundowner which is adore and have put a fair bit of work into. I live in a mostly dry region, but we have had a ton of rain this year and I am having issues with leaking into the trailer from the roof. What are my options for some sort of resealing/waterproofing the leaky bits? Really it probably needs to be stripped and re-painted but that probably isn’t in the cards right now for me. Suggestions?
There is a product called Eternabond that is very popular. If you go on facebook, go to Horse Trailer Conversion site and search it for leaky roof repairs. This site has tons of people who done amazing things with their trailers to repair them, build living quarters, etc
Ditto the Eternabond.
I used EternaBond® AlumiBond tape on the aluminum roof of my trailer’s tack room.
Correct application is key.
Use the steel roller to apply the correct pressure (as stated in the directions) and clean and prep the seams first.
