I have one I can PM as well. I’m general, I think you can’t be too specific about medical & who is responsible for what. And mortality & major medical insurance. It’s probably best that the lessor retains the existing policy & has the lessee pay them up front for the year. We leased a horse recently where per the lease I was supposed to purchase a policy & name the owners as the payees for the mortality. Filling in the statement of health was extremely difficult – the owners are away showing so I finally had to call the vet on the Coggins & ask them instead. And I’m an insurance agent!!
