Leash Review. What do you use?
I also have a few leashes that I’ve knitted out of various materials - they’re kind of fun because they’re so customizable, but I really only use the one that I knitted out of nice cotton yarn.

OP, the Stibbar leashes are very nice, but feel SUPER soft to me - they feel great in your hand, but might not be sturdy enough to hold up to a large dog who pulls. They are very pretty, though, and I love the custom colors…
Ooh might have to have my mom knit me an extra leash …that would be cool.
Thanks for the info re the Stibbar leashes, they sound super nice, but I don’t think I’ll be getting one anytime soon; although I do normally walk my dog in a pinch collar, it’d be good to have something that stands up to pulling for those inevitable times that I can’t (case in point, when I lost it and didn’t buy a new one til now, 7 months later). Maybe sometime in the future.
I’ve got a lease and a collar from here:

Not adjustable, but they are stretchy and they’re recycled! Also, they have bottle openers on them. Which is very useful when you live in Texas and your dog accompanies you to the local ice house.

The collar is great too - doesn’t get stinky and it washes up nicely.
Is the leash elastic too? I find that kind of strange, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an elastic leash, though an above poster did mention having one too, that stretched out from her dogs pulling, that’s what I would think would happen. Do your dogs not pull? Is it just slightly elasticized? I can’t imagine myself having one, but I’m glad you’re happy w/ it, whatever the case may be. =)

I should have clarified - it’s not elastic, it’s a recycled bike tire tube. So it’s rubber and has a bit of give in it (kind of like the theory behind tying a halter-busting horse horse to a rubber tire), but not enough to really stretch out. My guy usually doesn’t pull too bad, but if he does hit the end of the lead, there is some cushioning for both of us.

Oh that sounds like a great idea! Very cool.

I like all the color options and like you, love the multi-function.

We raise puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc. and I am spoiled by their convertible leather leashes. The leather softens quickly and is so comfortable to the hand. Through an easy combo of snaps and rings it can be 5’, 4’ or 30" long. Anyone can order from GDB.

I think at the time, these were not available to the public. My sister was raising guide dog puppies and both my mom and myself were looking to get these same leashes for ourselves.

Good to know though!

My dog trainer recommended these ASAT leads and I really like them. Reasonably light weight and comfortable. http://www.elitek9.com/ASAT/products/42/
