Best of luck with him!! It sounds as if you have a good plan in mind for your guy. I have an outstanding small pony that I sent to Emily Elek to get started, bring out and get leased for me. I completely trust Emily to watch over my mare, but I totally understand your fear.
I feel the same way about leasing him out in my trainer’s barn, but they don’t have anybody for him right now. I took him for a local lesson today and had fun getting my hunter groove back! I feel like he just needs time right now, he has all the bits and pieces but needs to grow into himself. Lord Helpus, what a nice thing to say! I can’t take any credit, it seems like they have all fallen in my lap, many times when I was shopping for something else! I remember when you bought Petey! And that is going back awhile 
I always figure an out of work horse never minds not working… We just decided with the vet that we have to breed Jade again this year. It’s either that, put her to work or put her on a severe diet. We are voting for fat and pregnant
