Leather Cleaner similar to the Voltaire Hercules Soap

Does anyone know of a leather soap similar to the Voltaire Hercules Glycerin Soap? It’s safe for calf and buffalo leathers, but expensive!

Thanks

I’m obsessed with that cleaner! I just got some and it’s my new favorite.

What is it about that cleaner that you both love so much, what makes it different from all the others? Just curious. That is expensive but if you like it that much I would just suck it up and buy the real product. After all, your saddle is a big investment, might as well give it the luxury treatment.

I feel like it cleans really well, but also has a great texture that leaves the leather feeling supple and gives it a soft shine. More like a glycerine cleaner then say the CWD cleaner, but also seems to help condition and protect leather. I don’t like the smell or consistency of CWD, and I much prefer the Voltaire. It seems like it is going to last a long time too, its a large container. I agree the OP should just go with the real deal. I think it’s $35.

I switched to Passier from Voltaire and I prefer the Passier. The Voltaire turned into a liquid mess (I live in FL) and it developed a really off odor to it after awhile and I literally couldn’t stomach the smell anymore. I did like it very much but the liquid odor thing turned me off.

Oakwoods saddle soap and moisturizer is recommended for our saddleseat saddles with buffalo leather - I was actually able to buy it at our local Fleet Farm and they are about $16 each.

I quit using Oakwood’s after I discovered the Higher Standards leather cleaner/conditioner. It smells better and leaves my Freedman gorgeous. Doesn’t make my saddle slippery either.
