Leather Full Seat Breeches

Who makes full seat breeches with real leather seat (not clarino, McCrown, etc.). I usually buy Aristas but there must be some other manufacturers out there…

Thanks.

Tropical Rider!

I love my FITS!

I have some Kerrits Microcords with leather that are really nice and good for most weather. They are less expensive than a lot of the other brands. They are available with clarino also now so I guess you have to make sure you order the correct type.

Trainer’s Choice (cow leather) and Equissentials (deerskin).

I love my FITS, but I want to get a pair of custom Equissentials soon.

Me, too. I like them even better than Equissentials. I just ordered a pair for show (my first whites!) from VTO and took advantage of their 2 day 20% off sale for orders >$50.

littlek, I didn’t know you could get Microcords with the real leather seat anymore. I have two pairs and I really like them, esp. for the price.

I will second the FITS. They are fantastic.

Pikeur, they last forever, fit wonderfully.

Kentucky is my absolute favorite manufacturer. Arista is my 2nd fav. Personally, I don’t fit in the Kerrits or FITS as they don’t have long sizes.

Me too! I just could not pass up that price…

I was worried about the FITS being long enough - I am 5’10" and ordered them online without trying on - but I was pleasantly surprised when they came and were plenty long. In fact, I think on a shorter person, they might be too long!

Thats interesting that you can wear the FITS. I’m 5’9" (size 6) the FIT’s end on my upper mid calf and the cuff HURTS under my boots. Plus I think they make my ass look funny:)

That is weird! I am a size 6-8 and my FITS are mediums. They come all the way to my ankle…

Arista is up for sale but likely to go out of business shortly. Its been for sale for a year and the original designer/owner is retiring. Moresthepity. They make a great product that fits and lasts almost forever. I have one pair that must be 10 years old.

Another vote for Equiessentials.

Do the Equisentials stay up OK? THe only ones I have seen are pull on and seem to have a wide waistband…I have some junk in my trunk, and, well, some breeches pull down in the back…

I used Tempi breeches from Dressage Extensions - they were great, but then i started riding in Pikeurs and never went back. Don’t know if they sell them anymore or not. I actually have about 7 pairs that i need to sell. Long, size 28 (or 30) but i think 28 if anyone is interested.

I think so. My instructor wears these. She’s isn’t … uh … svelte and I’ve never seen any … uh… skin. Of course, YMMV.

I second.
