I have one and I love it. I need another, does anyone know where to buy one, or does anyone have a used one for sale??–I know they are sort of out of fashion but I have multiple horses and it seems to help my saddles fit the youngsters as they are getting their “final shape” I have tried Ebay, Craigslist and Amazon.com and Dover, State Line but have not come up with one.
Tad Coffin makes leather pads and Running Fox always has a leather pad on their website.
I don’t know if this is what you’re after (I have nothing to do with them, just remembered receiving a “like” request from this company in my inbox last year): http://ride-light.com/index.html
Equifit makes one.

Saddleright makes a great one and they have a lifetime guarantee. I’ve used one for many years and lots of people in our barn have them (local tack store sells them). Hideous web site, but great pads. Can often be found on ebay too. http://www.saddleright.com/saddle_pads_pictures.html
I absolutely love my Tad Coffin leather pad. Had it (and use it every ride) for 7 years and it still looks new.
thanks for the info–I would really love to find a used one if anyone has one they want to part with.
I PM’d you. I have a Tad Coffin pad.
I have PM’d you as well. I have a few Saddle Right pads.
I love my TC leather pad and it’ll have to be pulled from my cold, dead hands.
But, a friend loved mine, and I was able to find one used for her on ebay for a Christmas present. You have to look for them, but they’ll appear on ebay several times a year, usually in the $75-150 range, which is better than new.
I also have a very thick leather pad with memory foam inside. It’s actually too thick for my tastes (I have fattie WB mares) but it would be great for an OTTB or rescue, who’s skinny and needs padding while he builds topline. I got that used at our local consignment tack store. It’s not equifit I don’t think, but another top-name brand that I can’t remember just now. You can PM me if you’re interested, but I guess I’m saying you can find the kind of thing you’re looking for, you just have to be a little bit patient and a little bit lucky
Is there a leather pad out there for sway backs? My old mare has a terrible sway back and I’m pad hunting.
