Some things are just crazy!! I had a contractor to take out about 100 mature pine trees that were infected with beetles. The county required a dig permit and double silt fencing. As it was a lot of yards, I ended up with many t-posts, more than we’ll ever use.
What does everyone do with left-over t-posts? Taking them to the scrap metal place is all I could come up with. Thanks in advance!
I’ve seen used t-posts consigned at local farm auctions. I have a pile that may go that way, one day.
I found 1/2 dozen tposts in a patch of overgrown weeds when I was helping hayguy pick up bales in a leased field.
Obviously not missed by whoever left them, they’re now reinforcing fence posts in my henyard.
If you have more than that, @AwiUsdi has a good idea
New are worth 5 to 10 dollars, if they are in decent condition sell them on fb marketplace or whatever local list in your area.
I’ve had someone tell me she’s been buying them on craigslist for about $7 each.
Sell on Craigslist or Facebook. Or donate to a local animal rescue that can put them to good use.
I use them in my garden. First to put a field fence around the garden. Then to run 50 feet of field fence for tomatoes and other crops to be trellised. Then to support cattle panels for cucumbers, tomatoes and melons. Lots of uses in a garden.
Hoard them for future use! We never turn down a half decent t post. I don’t think we’ve ever BOUGHT t-posts, actually…
If they are in good shape they should sell quickly on Facebook or such.
In my part of the world people will post them in the local horse group.
