They did retire her from breeding when many people would have kept breeding her for the large return her foals would bring. Good people.
They kept the last 2 foals, both fillies, to continue their breeding program. The Not This Time filly has a win from 2 starts thus far.

In the posted article it says they were looking to breed her but she never cycled so actually the mare made the decision.
Yes, and they didn’t keep trying to get her to cycle, they retired her. Many people would have tried hard to get her in foal given the value of her foals.
