I’m actually posting for a friend, but she has a daughter who rides and is in grad school now. She’s hoping to find a place with lesson type horses she can ride and do low jumps (2’) but not hunters. She was a pony clubber and every summer her mom takes her to bark and twig type horse trials. Feel free to pm. She may be able to acquire a horse to ride from relatives if that helps, she can also lease. Yes, I did a search, didn’t find anything recent. feel free to link, if I missed a current thread.
My friend and former Trainer Caroline Atherholt McClung (Dowd) is in Eagle Rock about an hour from Blacksburg. 4* rider who competed at Rolex and Badminton. AMAZING Trainer!! Has a bunch of adults that ride with her… I do believe she has lesson horses. Might be a bit of a distance but she is soooooo worth it!!!

There is an Eventing Team at VT. The riders on the team might be able to provide some recommendations/be a resource.
Meadow Ridge Stables in Christiansburg has a lesson program and may be able to offer what she is looking for.
Of course Caroline has a great reputation but that is a pretty significant drive from Blacksburg.
