Hi all! Just curious if anyone has recommendations for a trainer in the SLC area that has lesson horses? Not in any hurry with the whole situation, but I haven’t had much luck finding information on google. I’d love to ride with an eventer barn again, but I’m open to anything – I’m more interested in good coaching than competitive opportunities at this point.

The website isn’t too up to date but I know from her Facebook that she is in Utah now (and looks like a gorgeous facility!). If nothing else she will know everyone in the SLC eventing scene and can refer you to someone.

If it isn’t too far, Travis and Carly Atkinson of Dynamic Equestrian in Lehi (south of SLC) run a competitive eventing program and have just started a riding academy with school horses. Travis has competed through Intermediate and run a 2*. Carly has competed through Prelim. I believe they are attempting to grow their riding academy and school horse string. They should have appropriate school horses for through the 2’6 level at least and potentially even lease options should you want to be competitive in the future. Both are very good coaches. The barn isn’t the fanciest and the indoor is small for the winter, but the outdoor has a diversity of jump elements, including a small water complex and banks.
