Hey there! I have some clients moving to the Houston area in Texas. They have the cutest little girl that lessons with me. She can walk and trot by herself and can post. Please message me with any farms that would be a good match! She is 4, super sweet and talented!
Do you know what side of Houston they are moving to? Houston is very spread out and it could be an hour (or more) to get to a barn in a different area.
That being said, I think finding a reputable person to teach a 4 year old might be a challenge. But, if you give us an idea of what part of town they will be in, maybe someone will have an idea.
All Heart Horse Farm is 20 minutes south of downtown and also convenient to Sugarland. I used to board there and the drive was manageable during the day. During rush hour, maybe not. The owner, Heidi Ziemer, is wonderful, very caring, and good with kids. She has a variety of appropriate schoolies. She does a lot of summer camps too and I’m pretty sure she would take on a 4-year-old.
Awesome! Do you have her phone number? This kid is a good dtudent. Bums me out when people are negative about a young rider. I have a large farm in NC. 30 plus horses, who show in Eventing, hunters and jumpers. I started riding at 2, yes, 2, a big horse family. It has been a privilege to work with this kid! Can walk and trot and post! Thank you for the info.

Patty Roberts at Memorial Park Hunter’s has a lot of pony kids, and some of them are young. She has a very solid program.
