Nick Larkin is planning to come to the Richmond VA area (Maidens, just west of Richmond) to teach lessons on the weekend of 6/27-28 at No Worries Farm. He would like to come to the area regularly, every 1-2 months, and would like to develop a group of regular students, so that he can get to know the horses and riders. For the first weekend, dressage and SJ lessons will be offered. Hopefully, some subsequent XC lessons will be held at Deep Run Hunt Club.
Nick Larkin has competed successfully in eventing on an international level. He was short listed for the New Zealand Olympic Team, represented New Zealand at the World Equestrian Games in 1998, won the '97 Adelaide International CCI***, and '98 Rolex Kentucky CCI****.
Nick is also a fantastic teacher. He teaches students at the lower and upper levels. I have taken many lessons from Nick when I lived in TN, and I’m really excited about the prospect of bringing him to VA. I have always found him to be very positive and knowledgable. He teaches with a sense of humor, but I have never failed to learn a lot from one of his lessons, and I always finish the lesson knowing what I most need to work on. He is great with problem and green horses, and with riders with fear issues (ask me how I know this!).
