Looking for a barn for my horse and me for when I move to SLC in January. Looking for a quality barns that can guide me along to my progression into eventing. Researching on the net has had Lynnleigh and Rose Farms pop up several times. Want to know if their are any other recommendations and if there are any quality farms on the north side of Salt Lake City. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If eventing is what you want to do… Lynnleigh is pretty much the only place. Very cool barn, covered, outdoor and cc field. They host HJ shows as well as clinics (Eric Smiley clinic is a must!) Head trainer I believe is still Robin?
For an HJ barn Alta Hills is your best bet. Mike Knight and his mom are very well respected in the area. Also a cool property and closer to SLC than Lynnleigh.
I would avoid Rose Ranch. Their manure pile is essentially the entire property. Barbara and Ali are very nice but not entirely what you are looking for and they are much further than both Alta Hills and Lynnleigh. Hopefully no other fellow Utahns come on here to defend Rose Ranch!
I am from the area so feel free to message me. I have a friend who grew up riding at Lynnleigh who evented and I could refer you to her. Also know Alta Hills people very personally and cannot say enough good things about Mike. He also works for Pony Lane.
