My daughter currently has the racesafe/point two hybrid vest but has outgrown it and would rather wear a lighter vest with an air vest over it. I have the older tipperary with the hit air over and it’s pretty breathable, but I’m not sure if there is something better out there. Has anyone tried the airowear flexion or airowear air mesh? I thought the Airowear hybrid Ayrvest looked interesting, but I tried it on in dover and it feels at least as heavy as the race safe. We regularly have weather in the 90’s low 100’s so we need something cool.
I have the Airowear Air Mesh. I had the older, unrated Tipp before. Compared to the Tipp, I’d say the Air Mesh is indeed a little bit heavier (it’s certainly at least 3x thicker!), but no hotter. I did not try on the Flexion, so I’m no help there.
