Question on the feathers - do you ever trim them up or do you always leave them floofy? We have something here called cheat grass that bothers pony in the summertime when we go trail riding. There are these little seed pods that are pokey and they get in her feathers and make her stomp her feet so I end up clipping her feathers off. But I’m horrible at clipping, so natural feathers would be easier of course.

I have done both on most of mine except the stallion. He always keeps full feathers. I plan to try body clipping Junior next weekend including the feathers. We’ll see how it goes <fingers crossed>.

Well we ![](ade our recognized show debut. Junior won all of his training level classes. We rode in the opportunity division and in some classes were the only open rider; but, I was till very proud of his workmanlike demeanor. We need to work on suppleness and connection; but, a good start nonetheless.

Thanks PP. We (Junior and I) and the Mustang went on a 10 mile trail ride today. These guys are so versatile. It’s icing on the cake. Hug the PFP for me please.
