she gave him her star and gorgeous head, and even the ermine spots in his socks! he also has her amazing walk. Cant wait to see how he grows up!
Hehe. Not a planned breeding, actually the stuff of breeding nightmare (a long story oft related on COTH) but a very nice outcome against all odds:
Ditto on the left, Imp on the right
Ditto was of course named for his resemblance to mom! Temperament and intelligence too.

What a timely thread! I just took some pics of one mare’s “mini me”. I think what gets me is they have the same mannerisms as well as looks - right down to their floppy ears and lip twitches. Lucky for me I wanted a carbon copy of the mare!
