Previous posts have suggested that line breeding back to Contender and Acord II is not desirable. Can someone please explain why?

You have to know the stallions to understand why. Many reasons…what do you want to know specifically ?
Nothing specific. Just trying to educate myself. When I infer from posts that something of interest to me is addressed indirectly but not explained, I become curious. Thank you for your response.

Contender was an older blooded stallion that always needed mares with blood. He also had some hind legs issues. You see him twice in the pedigree once in a while but not much.
Acord II was aslo a top stallion but he was inconsistent in size production. He sometimes made them really small and really large. You rarely see him in the pedigree twice.
These are just a few very basic reasons why…
Thank you, Bayhawk. That’s a good start. I appreciate your response.
