I have decided to go on the hunt for another OTTB to bring along with my current one. I know that his a horse on paper differs from the blood and bone standing in front of you but what lines do you like in eventing pedigrees? What lines seem the most consistent? Jump? Bone? Etc…
To me the most golden line in eventing because of its dressagey influence is Hyperion, with a special nod to Tudor Minstrel and Tudor Melody. I also very much like the Fappiano brain for eventing. They may be a bit “hot” and opinionated, but they tend to be brave problem solvers who are always thinking.
