Ok, before someone thinks I’m crazy, I’m talking about my horses halloween costume for our barn party. The party is tomorrow but I decided to dress my gelding and myself up as old ladies (I honestly don’t even know how i came up with it) But I was thinking what are ways i could really make this costume better, and I was thinking bright red lipstick to put on his muzzle maybe? I didn’t know if that would be toxic or bad for them. Might be an obvious answer that I shouldn’t do it, but i was just trying to think of ways to make the costume even funnier. If any of you guys have any ideas for the costume that would be great. I’m already putting a pearl necklace on him, and curlers in his mane LOL.
I would just use stage makeup. Do the best you can with a 2 inch paint brush and lots of cookies.
You could use a cattle/sheep wax paint stick, the kind to paint numbers on them.
Any feed store should carry those, come in all colors, red, orange, white, blue, green, black, etc.
If you have a dairy close, go borrow one of theirs.
Knee hi stockings rolled down to your ankles? Blue hair? Matching blue eye shadow? Those giant dime store pearls? A babushka?
Those all say old lady.
These are perfect thank you!
We need pictures in exchange for costuming tips.
Lipstick won’t hurt him - had a trainer who used to regularly plant smooches on muzzles with her bright pink lipstick. Nobody died.
Caveat: you may have some trouble getting it off.
I once made my bay a Killer Bee with spray furazone stripes on his butt.
Those took a whooooole lot of brushing to get off. :uhoh:
& Yes, pics are totally required!
2dogs, wouldn’t the horse try to lick it off, leaving a big red smudge?
Of course, with a little old man costume on another horse, also with a red smudge.
Just thinking…
hahah for sure, I’ll send them when I get them sent to me!
Did y’all have fun?
