Well, the barn cat has decided he doesn’t want to be a barn cat now that winter is coming, even though he has unrestricted access to a heated tackroom complete with cat tree and fluffy bed. It’s also where he gets fed, but he hasn’t gone up to touch his food in a few days. Instead he’s been hanging out on my doorstep, begging to come in.
I finally caved and let him in for the night, but will be kicking him out in the morning when I leave for work. I don’t trust him in the house unsupervised because he is a sprayer. He got neutered a bit late, according to his previous owners, and ended up being given to BO to be a barn cat. He is a great hunter and does his job as barn cat well. I don’t mind him in the house, but the spraying is a problem.
If I can litter train him, he could spend more time inside. But he’s five years old and has lived outside, so litter box use is a bit foreign.
Any insight would be appreciated
