We have our last confirmed pregnancy (dubbed the miracle baby!). Walkabout (Aram/Gondelier) was bred back to Just the Best, one holiday, one colic and 3 day stay at a vet clinic and 4-5 days later she ovulated and much to our surprise and delight she’s pregnant!!

Congrats! ovely made you have there. I just did some digging and methinks it might be a good idea to look into a Voltaire son for her for next year. Reason? Kannan is an awfully good example of quality if my you ask me!

We have one confirmed in foal so far this year, a Sec B Welsh Pony (hopefully a FILLY!!) by the Royal Welsh Reserve Champion, Boreton White Prince, and the dam will be our new mare in the UK, Cwrtycadno Cyfrinach, who is full sibling to this year’s Royal Welsh Champion, Cwrtycadno Perlen!

Cyfrinach will be staying in Wales for the year, and will be coming over next fall with this foal at foot. I am SO excited to see what she will produce!

We also just bred *Holyoake Tamzin (Supreme Champion Holyoake Fire Sprite x UK medal winner Millcroft Rosette), was just bred back to *Wedderlie Mardi Gras for a “repeat” of this year’s foal, Lorelei Dior.

We have one more mare due to foal this year, and then of course she will be bred back for next year. Really looking forward to the foals!!!

Its been a rough season for me this year. Bred one to Golden State, didn’t take. Will try her again next year.
Was planning to breed one to Rocazino, but she never showed heat. I just didn’t pursue it at that point. I was waiting the 14 days for my problem mare at that point.
So I feared I would have no foal next year, but my problem mare came through for me! Yeah, I have a Schroeder black dot, confirmed at 16 days. Her problem has been with conceiving not keeping a pregnancy so I am now hopeful!

It has been a really rough breeding season for me too. Only 2 out of 6 mares in foal with a couple more to check in a few weeks:

We Finally have good news. It took a while but both mares confirmed in foal:
Whimiscal II (Fabrizio du Moulin X Silberpfeil) to Wolkentanz II For Mid May.
Rosy Future (Rosentau x Donner Bube) in foal to Sir Gregory Early June. (Well she foaled three weeks early this year so possibly earlier… )

The other mare we tried with Frozen… (My friends mare) did not cycle regular, and then vet was not well so we missed her three times… but… my friend brought her home and put Negro in. So not my foal, but excited just the same.

I just got word yesterday that my friend’s mare is pregnant with my next dressage horse. I am over the moon because this is the first time I’ve ever gotten to play a role in the breeding process in that my friend offered to let me have first dibs on the baby and let me choose which High Point stallion I wanted to use. The foal will be Furst Impression X Davignport X Calypso II. We’re looking at approximately June 25th, 2014, for a due date and are just hoping and praying for a strong, healthy, and correct foal.

Cautiously excited to report a good 30 day check for my mare Cara Mia (Cassini 1/Landlord/Landgraf) on the second try of breeding.

This has been a trying year for her…the foaling farm missed the birth of her first foal in April, and she suffered a lot of trauma. Additionally, the foal developed complications from an infected umbilicus and had to be put down at three weeks old. She was a maiden mare and LOVED being a mom. I think she went through a bit of depression when he was gone. Then, during scanning to rebreed, we saw there was actual damage to the uterus itself and had our doubts she would conceive again. So, this feels like a miracle baby to us. Needless to say, she will NOT be going to the same place to foal out!!
