For once, I get to catch the freestyle!
Ok, I’m an ignorant hunter rider and know next to nothing about dressage. Since this is a freestyle, do the riders have to submit their routines to the judges so they can be judged against the movements they do/don’t perform?

Yes; there are required movements.
Argentine pair had some mistakes, but wow, a lot of horse there and she seemed willing to ride him close to the edge.

Riders do not submit their choreography, but the score sheets for each level list the required movements (and spaces for scoring them) as well as listing any prohibited movements.

I liked her even with her mistakes and I loved the music of Evi Strasser
I also liked Evi’s music, but I did not love the trot work - it seemed uneven to me - not as in lame, but in rhythm. Just my opinion. Will say that I enjoyed watching the Portuguese pair, but then I’m a Lusi owner and fan, lol. Waiting impatiently for My Lady; LOVE her burlesque music
Yes, I wasnt a fan of the trot work either. IMO too much show, and yes I like the Portugese pair as well, and very unlucky for the rider in the arena right now… She started nice, but her horse kind of refuses parts of the arena 
Didn’t watch everyone but was very interested to see Chris Von Martels and Divertimento. Thought it was a very nice job for such a new partnership. Looks like a lot of horse!
