Well, OT earned his win, as did his magnificent gray.

Loved watching the Prices ride.

I also thought that Boyd didn’t look or ride like himself. But he hung in there like the consummate professional that he is.

I would like to have seen Liz go higher, but it is what it is. She is an awesome rider and has a very good horse.

I was so hoping for Boyd to win. @Jealoushe, I see what you mean there, trying not to “hate” here, but it’d be nice to see a US rider win at all (I didn’t start following eventing until probably 2011-12 so I’ve never seen any rider repping team USA win) and it isn’t as if Boyd’s the only one who had falls, etc. he’s the only one who had two, to be fair, but…I guess still, I was really hoping for Tim Price, too once I realized it wouldn’t be Boyd. Ah well. Someday I’m sure another US rider will win!

I guess, I just feel Boyd’s gotten so close to winning a few times it’d be nice to finally see him get the win, not just finish in the top three.

I’m devastated for Colleen Loach … but she and Blue may be the best 5* pair in the world … IMO !!! (And I’m not Canadian. )

I never wanted to ride a 5* xc course … but I’d go around one on Blue! I think I could hang onto the mane and steer a bit, and he’d get me around.
