LM boots and rusty snaps

Anyone else having this issue? Last winter, a bunch of us bought custom LM boots because they were on sale. The boots fit well, but on everyone’s the snaps have rusted to the point that snapping them is super annoying. I have tried WD-40 (worked somewhat) and Amazon’ed rust remover (not great) and they keep rusting. LM will repair them within the year warranty but that’s such a pain and then I’m without boots.

There are so many items of apparel that have metal snaps, buckles etc that do not rust, so why on earth did they skimp on quality for this element?

I’m also taking suggestions for rust removal ideas that will work once and for all.

Go to a local shoe repair place/cobbler and have the snaps replaced. Out of the three LM pairs I own, one boot got a bad snap, I had one bad snap. Had it replaced for like $20 and that solved it.
