Lodging - VT Summer Festival

Any suggestions for a reasonably priced hotel that is close to the show? Is it possible to find something that doesn’t require a minimum stay, I only plan to be there for 3 nights. TIA.

I wish I was going this year - I always stay at the Casablanca. Affordable cute little cottages close to town and easy access to the show.

I always stayed at the Toll Road Inn. About 10 min away from the show, run by lovely people, and one of the more inexpensive options in the area.

Thanks, both of those look like good options, I just have to see if they have minimum stay requirements.

So we are staying at the Toll Road Inn. Casablanca seems nice too but the pool was the deciding factor to my friend! Maria says to say hello to you SS. She missed you last year.

I love the Stamford Motel

The most inexpensive place is the Red Sled motel. Haven’t stayed there in a while but it’s perfectly reasonable. I like the Dorset RV park, it’s good if you have a trailer with living quarters. Close to the quarry which is a great place to cool off.

I just heard back from Linda at Casablanca, they are really cheap, $109 a night, but require a 5 night minimum during the horse show and we will only be staying for 3 nights. But thanks for all the other suggestions, good to know for the future.

dogbluehorse, we don’t have an RV but a friend does, I will have to mention your suggestion to them.

Too bad about Casablanca - I feel like I’ve gone for a partial week before, but that would have been several years ago. I stayed at another hotel once for the pool and naturally we spent the entire time at the horse show.

I don’t think I have ever had the time to use a pool during a horse show and the friend who wants it has a beautiful pool in her own backyard, so I don’t quite understand it myself. I loved the look of the individual cottages at Casablanca but since we can’t stay for 5 nights it wasn’t an option. But I would love to try them in the future.
