Log on/password problem

I’ve been a poster here for years, but in the last week I can’t log on and have been requested to get a new password (that is assigned by the Mods).

Within 48 hrs, when I log on I am again “unrecognizable” and have to request a new password.

Never had this problem before and can’t figure out what the problem is.

I’m not having the same problem with other frequently visited websites that have my passwords stored.

Sorry you’re having trouble! I’m justed getting back up to speed, so please excuse me while I catch up.

You’ve received a new password from Mod 3 and that subsequently stopped working at some point? Or are you using the automated system?

If you’re using the automated system, once you log in with the numerical password provided in the email, are you changing it to something else via your User Control Panel? Those numerical passwords are temporary and expire after, I believe, 24 hours, so that might be the problem…

Please feel free to give me a rundown via PM or in a reply here and we’ll try to get to the bottom of it.

I actually just ran into the same thing – I used to post under “pooh” but haven’t been on for a little while. I went to sign on and it didn’t acknowledge the name with my password. Unfortunately I’ve changed e-mail address’ and I wouldn’t be able to get a new password - so I just created a new account after having the other one for probably 8 years! Kind of bummed to have to change after all these years.
